Design Compression

I’ve been coding for nearly 19 years, and it’s only recently that I’ve returned to full-stack development. When I compare the available tools now to what was around in 2005, the difference is massive.

In the past, there were only a few CSS libraries and frameworks to create stylish webpages. Now, there are numerous options, and development times have significantly shortened. While this theoretically allows for better-designed applications, it has also led to an explosion of overly complex designs and products.

The role of innovators, creators, artists, and entrepreneurs is to explore new avenues and perspectives, bringing fresh solutions and ideas while posing new challenges that require innovative solutions.

Design plays a crucial role in innovation, enhancing the user experience and allowing people to engage with new creations in novel ways. Whether by making a product or service more user-friendly or introducing features that were previously unimaginable, design adds value to the solutions presented.

Generative AI has simplified the creation process, but it’s now the responsibility of creators and innovators to craft meaningful designs that encourage the discovery of new ideas, pose fresh challenges, and ultimately solve current problems.
