Can you just go with the flow?

The guy on my right was just walking by and got caught in the picture by surprise. This photo describes what is being in Karachi, which is a city of 14 million people and the most populated in Pakistan. Everything in the city happens in surprising and somewhat improvised ways, even the traffic is very chaotic, but it flows with an expected “Chaotic Order”.

The guy next to me is wearing what is called the Shalwar Kameez. Which was introduced into South Asia by arriving Muslims in the north in the 13th century: at first worn by Muslim women, their use gradually spread, making them a regional style. Most men and women here wear the Shalwar Kameez.

Coming to Karachi forces you to accept anything that comes to you in completely unexpected ways. Getting completely out of your conform zone forces you and face what it is at that moment. This city is full of rickshaws, motorbikes, cars, strollers, hawkers, birds, goats, and street sellers. All colliding in the same spot. Merging with the flow of things and just letting go is the only sane way and survive here.

Thanks to Asshad Khan for the photo series.
